Sobota przyniesie wyraźne, jesienne orzeźwienie. Najcieplejsza aura utrzyma się na południowym wschodzie kraju, z kolei mieszkańcy północnych województw i rejonów podgórskich muszą przygotować się na spore chłody. W ciągu dnia termometry wskażą maksymalnie:

• 16 do 18 stopni Celsjusza na północy, nad morzem oraz w rejonach podgórskich (najchłodniej na Podlasiu i w Koszalinie - około 17 stopni Celsjusza),
• około 19 do 20 stopni Celsjusza w centrum (Warszawa, Łódź, Poznań, Toruń),
• 21 do 23 stopnie Celsjusza na południu i południowym wschodzie (Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków, a najcieplej w Rzeszowie - do 23 stopni Celsjusza, lokalnie 24 stopnie Celsjusza).

W nocy z soboty na niedzielę temperatura mocno spadnie. Słupki rtęci wskażą przeważnie od 9 do 13 stopni Celsjusza. Prawdziwy chłód poczują mieszkańcy Pogórza, gdzie temperatura spadnie do zaledwie 7 do 9 stopni Celsjusza. Z kolei najcieplejsza noc czeka mieszkańców Helu (aż 15 do 17 stopni Celsjusza) ze względu na wciąż nagrzane wody Bałtyku.

Ulewy i lokalne burze. Gdzie spadnie najwięcej deszczu?

Rano strefa frontowa będzie opuszczać rejony południowe i południowo-wschodnie, dając tam szansę na popołudniowe przejaśnienia. W pozostałych częściach kraju rozwijać się będą jednak wypiętrzone chmury kłębiaste. Przelotne opady deszczu wystąpią w większości regionów, przynosząc od 5 do 15 mm (l/mkw.) wody. Druga połowa dnia przyniesie opady także w centrum. Najtrudniejsza sytuacja meteorologiczna czeka jednak północną Polskę. Na Wybrzeżu i na północy prognozowane są lokalne burze, podczas których deszcz zaleje drogi, a wiatr gwałtownie przybierze na sile.

Uwaga na alerty! Cyklon Ulf uderzy z siłą nawet 85 km/h

Najbardziej zdradliwym elementem sobotniej pogody będzie wiatr. Napędzany przez cyklon Ulf, zachodni wiatr będzie umiarkowany i dość silny, jednak jego porywy mogą stanowić realne zagrożenie:

• Centrum i południe Polski: porywy wiatru osiągną od 50–60 km/h do nawet 70 km/h.
• Północ kraju i Wybrzeże: wiatr rozpędzi się w porywach do 70–80 km/h, a w nocy nad samym morzem może wiać z niszczycielską siłą do 85 km/h.
• Obszary górskie: W Tatrach porywy osiągną 60 km/h, natomiast w Sudetach wiatr zaszaleje z prędkością do 80–85 km/h.

Dynamiczna sytuacja baryczna sprawi, że wyjście z domu bez solidnej kurtki przeciwdeszczowej może skończyć się szybkim przemoczeniem i wyziębieniem. Parasole, z uwagi na silny wiatr, mogą okazać się bezużyteczne.

The beginning of September brings a sudden change in the weather in Poland. On Saturday, September 5, 2026, the entire country will be watching the sky as we come under the influence of a vast area of an undulating cold front and Cyclone Ulf. Expect heavy cloud cover, scattered showers, local thunderstorms, and extremely dangerous, strong winds, which in coastal areas could reach gusts of up to 85 km/h. Saturday's weather will effectively ruin the weekend plans of many Poles, and the perceived temperature will drop drastically.

A noticeable cooldown is coming

Saturday will bring a distinct, autumnal refreshment. The warmest weather will remain in the southeast of the country, while residents of the northern voivodeships and foothill regions should prepare for significant cold. During the day, thermometers will record maximum temperatures of:

• 16 to 18 degrees Celsius in the north, by the sea, and in the foothills (the coolest in Podlasie and Koszalin - around 17 degrees Celsius),
• around 19 to 20 degrees Celsius in the city center (Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań, Toruń),
• 21 to 23 degrees Celsius in the south and southeast (Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków, and the warmest in Rzeszów - up to 23 degrees Celsius, locally 24 degrees Celsius).

Temperatures will drop significantly overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The mercury will generally read between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius. Residents of the Foothills will feel the real chill, where temperatures will drop to just 7 to 9 degrees Celsius. The warmest night will be in store for residents of Hel (as much as 15 to 17 degrees Celsius) due to the still-warm Baltic Sea.

Downpours and local thunderstorms. Where will the most rain fall?

In the morning, the frontal zone will leave the southern and southeastern regions, giving them a chance for afternoon clearing. However, in the rest of the country, towering cumulus clouds will develop. Scattered showers will occur in most regions, bringing 5 to 15 mm (l/m²) of water. The second half of the day will also bring rainfall in central Poland. However, the most challenging weather conditions await northern Poland. Local thunderstorms are forecast for the coast and north, with rain flooding roads and rapidly intensifying winds.

Beware of warnings! Cyclone Ulf will hit with winds of up to 85 km/h

The most treacherous element of Saturday's weather will be the wind. Driven by Cyclone Ulf, the westerly wind will be moderate to quite strong, but its gusts could pose a real threat:

• Central and southern Poland: Wind gusts will reach 50-60 km/h, even up to 70 km/h.
• Northern Poland and the coast: Wind gusts will reach 70-80 km/h, and at night, near the coast, gusts of up to 85 km/h may blow with devastating force.
• Mountain areas: In the Tatra Mountains, gusts will reach 60 km/h, while in the Sudetes, winds will reach speeds of up to 80-85 km/h.

Dynamic pressure conditions mean that leaving home without a sturdy raincoat could result in rapid soaking and hypothermia. Umbrellas may prove useless due to the strong wind.
